Our Mission
We support collections of unique and valuable plant genetic resources for food and agriculture held in genebanks.
We promote an economically efficient, goal-oriented and sustainable global system of genebanks, in accordance with the Plant Treaty.
We promote the regeneration, characterization, documentation and evaluation of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture and the exchange of related information.
We promote the availability of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture.
We promote national and regional capacity building for genebank personnel with respect to the above.
