Request for applications: Preferred Supplier for Aluminium Foil Bags

For the BOLD project, the Crop Trust is seeking a provider that can supply and deliver Aluminium Foil Bags to be used by national genebanks in different countries to store seeds in long- and medium-term cold storage. At a later step, the Crop Trust aims to expand the supply to a multitude of countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas in the future. Request for applications: Scientific Writer

The primary objective of this consultancy is to conduct a review of maximum 8 crops in Ghana and Benin. The review document should consist of maximum 10 pages and include: history of the crop in the country; importance of the crop in the country where it was prioritized in terms of its contributions to food security, linkages with social and cultural aspects, market potential and economic potential; issues that make the crop less attractive to farmers, processors and market sector in the country and recommendations of what issues the BOLDER project can contribute to address. More information can be found in the Terms of Reference below.

Request for applications: Consultants (or consultancy firms), Genebank Reviewer

Crop Trust coordinates the technical review of national and international genebanks as part of the process to assess the needs of partners for upgrading and their eligibility for long-term support. These reviews also provide direct inputs into the individual workplans of genebanks and monitor progress made towards achieving genebank standards. We regularly request applications from individual experts (or consultancy firms) with proven expertise, experience, and qualifications across the spectrum of ex-situ conservation to join the roster of Genebank Reviewers. We are specifically looking for consultants (or consultancy firms) with strong scientific expertise and experience in genebank management and operations.

For the Building Opportunities for Lesser-known Diversity in Edible Resources (BOLDER) project, the Crop Trust is organizing an inception workshop to foster collaboration among project partners and to inform them about the tools and expectations regarding reports preparation and use of funds.
